First Aid and CPR Training for USC Students

Allens Training have been training students at the University of the Sunshine Coast since we first opened our doors on the Sunshine Coast in 2015.

If you are enrolled in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Clinical Exercise Science, and Occupational Therapy degrees you will find that a requirement of the course will be to obtain First Aid and CPR qualifications prior to commencing practical placements. Several other degrees may also require current CPR and First Aid Certificates.

Allens Training run HLTAID011 Provide First Aid incorporating CPR courses regularly in our Birtinya Training Centre only 15 minutes from the university in Sippy Downs.

We offer sessions almost daily for students to book into and our new mode of delivery – Enhanced Online Training – requires students to complete most of their learning online, followed but a short practical assessment of between 15 and 30 minutes.

This new mode will suit students at USC as they can complete most of their training at a time and pace that suits them (the online can be done over several sittings), and they attend our Birtinya Training Centre for a short practical assessment.

You may read in some of your course material that there is a requirement to obtain an Apply First Aid (Senior) certificate prior to placement. We assure you that Apply First Aid and Senior First Aid are the old course names for the new course - HLTAID011Provide First Aid.

Allens Training is a nationally recognised training provider and our courses comply with the guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council.

We will provide you with an electronic copy of your certificate so you can easily upload your certificate on to WILS online. Hard copy certificates are also issued. Certificates are issued on the day you complete your first aid and CPR training, except if you attend a weekend course where you will receive it within a few days.

Anyone wanting to complete a First Aid course before their placement can book in online with Allens Training Sunshine Coast or call 1300 559 064.
