The unit RIIGOV201E – Comply with Site Work Processes/Procedures provides learners with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to operate safely and effectively within established workplace systems, particularly in the resources and infrastructure industries. This unit emphasises the importance of adhering to site-specific policies, procedures, and legal requirements to ensure both individual and team responsibilities are carried out correctly and safely. It supports new and existing workers in understanding the structured nature of site operations and the critical role compliance plays in risk management and workplace efficiency.

Through this training, participants will learn how to identify, interpret, and apply a wide range of procedural documentation, including job instructions, site protocols, and hazard control measures. Learners will also develop the ability to recognise deviations from standard practices and respond appropriately, contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The unit also covers the importance of timely reporting, maintaining work quality, and cooperating with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.

RIIGOV201E is ideal for individuals entering operational roles in sectors such as mining, construction, quarrying, and civil infrastructure, where procedural compliance is essential for maintaining workplace safety and meeting regulatory obligations. This unit serves as a valuable introduction for those beginning a career in high-risk or regulated environments, aligning with the expectations of employers and industry standards.

Completing this nationally recognised unit equips learners with a structured approach to workplace tasks and an awareness of the responsibilities that come with working in regulated industries. It provides a strong platform for further vocational education and career progression within Australia’s resources and infrastructure sectors.
