This event, set in the beautiful Sunshine Coast QLD, will be a fantastic opportunity for professional development, networking, and a much-needed break in a stunning coastal setting.
In addition to the conference, we’re offering Trainer Accreditation Days that we believe will greatly benefit your teams and help sharpen their skills.

Speaker Profiles
Adam Kelly - Contextualising Training
Adam Kelly is a former Australian Army officer who served in Special Operations as a counter-WMD and bomb disposal specialist, with deloyment to Iraq, Afghanistan and in domestic counter-terrorism.
Since 2011, he’s worked in training design for major defence projects and delievered specialist training in Combat Rescue, Subterranean Ops and Counter-CBRN. Adam also provides rescue training and services to the mining and heavy industry sectors.


Dawn Jones - Mental Health
Dawn Jones is an Advanced Care Paramedic with a Diploma in Paramedical Science and AHPRA registration. With extensive frontline experience, she brings both clinical skill and a deep commitment to supporting others' wellbeing
As a qualified trainer and accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Dawn blends healthcare knowledge witha passion for education. A proud member of the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association, she delivers workshops that reduce stigma and strengthen early intervention.
Dawn leads with empathy, insight, and a belief that mental health care is just as vital as physical first aid.
Grace Canning - The Impact of Allergies
Grace Canning is the founder of Allergy Life Australia, a national charity supporting people with allergies through advocacy and education.
Living with Anaphylaxis, Asthma,and multiple allergies herself, Grace shares personal and community stories to highlight the real-life impact of allergies. She raises awareness about allergic reactions, mental health impacts, and provides free resources like support groups and allergy cards.


Dave Garner - Trainers & Assessors
An experienced leader who has successfully managed high performing teams and successfully introduced new solutions to complex business needs.
Key strengths include leadership, people development, strategic direction, risk management, customer relationship management and problem solving that drive positive results for the organisation. Highly developed communications skills at senior levels with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
Jason Davis
Jason Davis is a highly experienced clinician with over 33 years in pre-hospital care, having served as an intensive care and extended care paramedic with NSW Ambulance, Queensland Ambulance Service and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
With a strong academic background, Jason has completed multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programes and currently works as a lecturer and clinical educator. He is also involved in a range of clinical projects across both health and ambulance services, contributing to ongoing improvements in patient care.

Coral McVean - Stroke
Coral McVean is a dedicated StrokeSafe Speakerwhosharesvital stroke awareness information drawn from personal experience.
Her passion for education stems from her father’s stroke, a serious warning sign that she didn’t fully understand at the time. He survived, but Coral now knows the difference a fast response can make.
Motivated by that experience, Coral is committed to helping others recognise the signs of stroke and understanding the importance of early action.Through her talks, she empowers communities with the knowledge that could save a life.
Lucy Bloom - Key Note Speaker
Lucy is a dynamic speaker, educator and leader in innovation thinking, with over 20 years of experience shaping industry. Known for her engaging and practical approach, Lucy will be sharing insights and strategies to inspire us as we navigate the evolving business landscape.
Lucy’s keynote address will focus futurist innovation thinking, providing valuable perspectives that will energise and empower us as a team.


Jase Porter - Local Search Engine Optimisation
Since 2005, Jase has been an industry leader in digital marketing and entrepreneurship in Melbourne. With a background in the tourism space, in more recent years he has worked for large digital agences, crafting campaigns for clients in over 100 different niches.
He’s an experienced website developer, Google Ads account manager and an expert in technical SEO.
Amy Gomes - Paediatrics Patients
Amy Gomes is a Brisbane-based critical care paramedic with experience in high-acuity pre-hospital care across Queensland and internationally. She’s the Director of PARAPEM, a paediatric-focused CPD program equipping paramedics with practical, evidence-based skills.
Amy also founded One Little Heart, combining education and philanthropy through her book What Paramedics Do, which supports charity and funds public AEDs. She sits on the QAS Legacy Scheme Inc Board and advocates for palliative care, end-of-life law and community health.


Tony Feagan - Student Support
Tony Feagan is one of Australia’s most experienced RTO consultants and auditors, with over 20 years working across private and public sectors. A former RTO owner, he’s also a qualified trainer, assessor and registered lead auditor with Exemplar Global.
Founder of Where to from here?, Tony has established over 70 RTOs and conducted more then 200 audits including 100+ GTO audits. He brings a disciplined, people-foucsed approach shaped by his background in the military and policing, with a strong focus on continuous improvement across systems, products and teams.
Rory McKenzie - Body Langauge Recognition
Rory’s drive to help others started young, with experience in NSW SES, NSW Ambulance, St John Ambulance, Red Cross, and the ADF. He’s an Enrolled Nurse and Allens Training trainer since 2021.
He’s also a criminal lawyer, investigator, and security expert, with thousands of interviews behind him and skills in body language and behavioural analysis.
Admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia, Rory brings strong academic credentials and a deep understanding of human behaviour.


Mark Ratcliffe - Maintain Authenticity
Marc Ratcliffe is a globally recognised leader in vocational education, renowned for his dynamic approach to training
As CEO and founder of MRWED Training and Assessment, he has dedicated over 30 years to enhancing trainer capability. A passionate advocate for "edu-tainment," Marc blends engagement with expertise, making learning both impactful and enjoyable.
With extensive international experience, he continues to shape the future of training through innovation and best practice.
Sharon Neish - Welcome/MC
Sharon has 25 years of experience in health, fitness, and yoga, helping thousands of Australians find self-acceptance through movement and healthy habits.
A published author and international yoga presenter, she shares the benefits of yoga for ageing bodies and minds through apps and podcasts.
With three businesses, Sharon is dedicated to self- improvement and is currently completing a degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology.


Taylah Leeson - Acknowledgment of Country
Taylah is a proud Kamilaroi woman and the First Nations Student Support Officer at Allens Training.
Before joining Allens, she completed an Indigenous traineeship, where her dedication saw her named the North Coast Region winner of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queensland Student of the Yearin 2020. She works alongside the Student Support Team to provide meaningful support to First Nations students throughout their learning journey.

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the concepts of mental health, recognise, respond to, and provide support to young people who may be experiencing mental health challenges.

This course aims to empower participants to better understand these challenges and develop the confidence to provide meaningful support to young people in need.
