Course Description

The unit RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights – equips students with the essential skills and knowledge required to work safely in environments where there is a risk of falling. This unit is crucial for individuals in industries such as construction, mining, maintenance, and telecommunications, where working at heights is a common part of operations.

The training covers the selection and proper use of fall protection equipment, including harnesses, lanyards, and anchor points. Students will also gain knowledge of safe work practices, ladder safety, and emergency procedures in the event of an accident. Emphasis is placed on adhering to workplace health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
