Course Description
The "Basic Emergency Life Support & LVR" course set, comprising the units HLTAID010 and UETDRMP007, is designed to equip individuals with the fundamental skills necessary to provide life-saving assistance in emergencies and respond to low voltage electrical risks. This training is ideal for those working in electrical, construction, or high-risk industries where both basic emergency life support and low-voltage rescue procedures are essential for workplace safety.

Course Durations
Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.
Entry Requirements
An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:
- Provide evidence of holding the required pre-requisite unit of either UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace, or UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker, or a current Electrical License (or an existing ESI or Electrotechnology qualification (or equivalent)).
- Physical capability to be able to meet the demands of the practical demonstration skills including CPR and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins Physical fitness to be able to meet the demands of the practical demonstration skills including manual handling in the rescue of a mock casualty
- Sufficient English language, literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course
- Protective footwear/safety shoes and comfortable/practical clothing must be provided by the student and worn during the practical sessions
Important note: In order to issue an accredited certificate, CPR must be performed on the floor with no exemptions. Participants will be required to demonstrate rescue breathing techniques on manikins. Participants will not have the opportunity to request an exemption from providing rescue breaths if they wish to gain a competent result in the Unit of Competency and/or qualification.
Assessment Requirements
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
Certificate Renewal Requirements
The units have the following recommended renewal periods:
HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support - 36 months
UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel - 12 months
HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation - 12 months

- Adult CPR (including the use of an AED)
- Infant CPR
- Anaphylaxis

- Non-life-threatening-bleeding & shock
- Inspection and placement of rescue equipment
- Low Voltage Panel Rescue
Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
