Course Description

This course set, combining HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live LV panel, delivers the essential skills and knowledge required to respond to a wide range of emergencies, while also meeting industry requirements for electrical safety and low voltage rescue. Together, these nationally recognised units provide participants with comprehensive training in first aid response, CPR, defibrillation, and live electrical rescue procedures, making this course set highly relevant for those working in high-risk industries.

Through HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, learners develop the ability to manage common injuries and medical conditions, from cuts, fractures, and burns to asthma, anaphylaxis, and cardiac emergencies. This unit also includes CPR training in line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, ensuring participants are equipped with up-to-date life-saving techniques. In UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live LV panel, students gain the knowledge and practical skills required to safely rescue a victim from a live low voltage electrical environment, an essential competency for electricians, tradespeople, and anyone working with or near electrical systems.

This course set is designed for individuals who need to meet workplace compliance and safety requirements, including electricians, contractors, safety officers, and first aiders in industries where electrical hazards are present. Employers benefit from ensuring their staff are fully trained to handle both medical emergencies and electrical incidents, while participants gain valuable, transferable skills that are recognised across Australia.

By completing this training, participants not only meet regulatory obligations under Safe Work Australia and relevant state-based electrical safety frameworks but also enhance workplace safety and preparedness. The combination of first aid and LV rescue training ensures that workers are equipped to respond confidently and effectively when emergencies occur, protecting both themselves and others.
