QLD White Card Course

A construction worker in Queensland must have completed general QLD construction induction training (commonly known as the “QLD White Card”) before being permitted to commence work on a construction site. This is a mandatory requirement across Australia.

If you have never worked in the construction industry before or you have lost your White Card; then this is the course for you.

The training covers critical topics, including:

White card training for QLD workers

This Queensland White Card course is essential training for anyone working in the construction industry in Queensland. It ensures participants understand the health and safety legislative requirements, risk management principles, and personal awareness necessary for safe work practices on construction sites.

The course covers topics such as identifying and reporting common construction hazards, understanding risk control measures, and following appropriate procedures in the event of incidents or emergencies. It also includes guidance on the correct selection, fitting, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for construction work. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive their Queensland General Construction Induction Card (White Card), allowing them to work legally and safely on construction sites across the state.

QLD White Card Course Locations

This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the QLD white card training provider.

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

Face to Face contact time of at least 6 Hours

An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need the following to be eligible for entry:

  • Proof of age must be 14 years or over.
  • Valid working email address.
  • Points of current and valid identification (including Photographic ID). You will be provided with an Evidence of Identification Checklist (EOI) to complete on enrolment.
  • Physical capacity to demonstrate the correct donning and removing of PPE for assessment.

This course MUST be delivered in Queensland only. Students undertaking this course must be a resident of the state in which the course is being undertaken.

Individuals undertaking this QLD white card course will be expected to complete both written, oral, and practical assessment tasks.

Assessment of this unit consists of three assessment tasks:

Answering a series of multiple choice and short answer written questions.

Answering a series of short answer oral questions.

Observation of learners demonstrating the correct fitting of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

  • eye protection
  • hearing protection
  • hard hat
  • high visibility retro reflective vest, shirt or jacket
