Course Description

The Fire Warden, Fire Extinguisher, and First Attack Firefighting Training course, encompassing units PUAFER005 – Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation, PUAFER008 – Confine Small Emergencies in a Facility, and CPPFES2005 – Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment, provides comprehensive fire safety and emergency response training. This course is designed for individuals responsible for fire safety and emergency management in workplaces such as offices, factories, schools, and public facilities, where quick action is required to prevent the escalation of fire incidents.

Upon completing these units, participants will be fully equipped to act as Fire Wardens, safely manage evacuations, and respond to small fires using first-attack firefighting equipment. This course ensures workplaces are prepared for emergencies, promoting safety, compliance with fire regulations, and effective incident management.

This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 6 Hours
Online with face-to-face assessment Face to Face contact time of at least 2 Hours 30 Mins

An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:

  • Physical capability to be able to meet the demands of the practical demonstration skills. This includes wearing suitable identification, assisting occupants, being able to safely confine emergencies and using communications systems and initial response equipment.

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.

The units have the following recommended renewal periods:

PUAFER005 - Operate as part of an emergency control organisation - Not applicable

PUAFER008 - Confine small emergencies in a facility - Not applicable

CPPFES2005 - Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment - Not applicable
