Course Description
UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live LV panel is a nationally recognised unit designed to equip participants with the critical skills required to safely perform a rescue from a low voltage electrical panel. This training is essential for individuals working in the electrical supply industry or any environment where live electrical systems are present, ensuring they can act quickly and effectively in the event of an electrical incident.
Participants will learn the correct use of safety equipment, risk assessment techniques, and safe work practices when performing a live LV rescue. The course also includes the application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, reinforcing the ability to provide immediate life support until emergency services arrive. By combining practical, hands-on training with nationally endorsed safety protocols, this unit ensures workers are prepared for real-world emergencies.
This unit is particularly relevant for electricians, electrical workers, contractors, and safety observers who may be required by legislation or workplace safety systems to hold current LV rescue and CPR certification. Employers benefit by ensuring compliance with Safe Work Australia standards and electrical safety regulations, while employees gain confidence in their ability to respond to emergencies and protect their colleagues.
By completing UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live LV panel, participants strengthen their workplace safety skills and meet industry and regulatory requirements. This training not only supports compliance but also promotes a safer working environment in high-risk industries where electrical hazards are a daily reality.
