This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

Face-to-Face: Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 16 Hours
Online with face-to-face assessment: Face to Face contact time of at least 6 Hours

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins.  

Online study:  Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.

Both written and practical assessments will be required, including the completion of a first aid scenario and demonstrating CPR, wound management, and patient stabilization techniques. You'll be assessed on a range of emergency scenarios, including:

  • Administering CPR and using an AED
  • Managing casualties with anaphylaxis, asthma, fractures, and more
  • Performing first aid for heatstroke and hypothermia
  • Handling remote-site first aid scenarios, such as triage and evacuation planning

Upon successful completion of this first aid course Dandenong businesses trust, you'll receive a nationally recognized certificate, valid for 36 months. Renewal is recommended every 3 years.
