Course Description

The unit UETDRRF004 – Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel – provides individuals with the skills and knowledge to safely rescue a person who is in contact with live low voltage (LV) electrical panels. This unit is essential for workers in the electrical industry, including electricians, maintenance workers, and site supervisors, who may be required to respond to electrical emergencies in workplaces such as construction sites, industrial facilities, or utility services.

Throughout the course, participants will learn how to assess an emergency situation involving live LV panels, isolate electrical hazards, and perform a safe rescue using appropriate rescue techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE). The training also covers the application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic first aid techniques to ensure proper care for the injured person until emergency services arrive.

This unit is ideal for electricians, electrical workers, and safety personnel working in environments where electrical hazards are present.

Upon completing UETDRRF004 – Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel, participants will be equipped to safely conduct rescues from live low voltage panels, ensuring the safety of both the rescuer and the injured individual. This training is crucial for electrical safety and rapid response to emergencies in environments with live electrical equipment.
