Entry requirements & what to bring
Entry requirements may include (check your booking details):
- Current electrical licence or relevant ESI/Electrotechnology qualification (prior experience helps but isn’t always required)
- Prior WHS/First Aid units (knowledge required for safe systems of work)
- Photo ID and your USI (Unique Student Identifier)
- Sufficient English language, oral communication and numeracy skills to follow instructions and complete assessment activities
- Reasonable physical requirements: floor-based CPR, kneeling, and safe lifts; wear work-ready clothing and closed shoes
- If you are under 18, a legal guardian may need to approve your enrolment
On the day: complete any online pre-course learning in advance, bring water, and tell your trainer about any access needs so we can support you to successfully complete the class.
Certificates are issued once you are deemed competent and any full payment or employer invoicing steps are finalised.
LVR certification validity & renewal for Canberra
- LVR (UETDRMP018): plan a 12-month refresh; that’s the common expectation across ACT employers and network operators.
- CPR (HLTAID009): refresh every 12 months under Australian Resuscitation Council guidance (ARC).
- If your card has expired, it’s treated as not current. Book a refresher and you’ll be site-ready again fast.
AQF note: Units sit within the Australian Qualifications Framework; your Statement of Attainment confirms completion against national standards.
