Our Hobart trainers focus on real job tasks so you leave with the practical skills and confidence to respond. The training covers both the theory and hands-on practice needed to work safely around live systems.
Low Voltage Rescue — UETDRMP018
- Rescue from a live low voltage scenario: hazard checks, approach paths and isolation at the nearest safe point
- Rescue techniques & rescue equipment: using the low voltage rescue kit (insulated rescue crook, gloves, fire blanket)
- Controlled extraction: moving a casualty clear of live electrical equipment without adding risk
- Emergency response: scene control, calling emergency services, and handover to medical personnel / professional medical help
- Risk assessment: reading the area quickly, managing bystanders and keeping yourself safe as rescue personnel
CPR & First Aid — HLTAID009 / HLTAID011
- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation: DRSABCD, airway/breathing checks, AED setup, and adult CPR
- Perform CPR: demonstrate two minutes of uninterrupted single-rescuer CPR on a floor-placed manikin
- Basic life support: first response steps for an emergency situation and recovery for an unconscious casualty
- Electrical emergencies: burns and shocks, safe post-incident care, and preventing cardiac arrest progression
- Link to standards: content aligns with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines
