Sydney classes focus on real job tasks so you leave with practical demonstration skills and confidence to respond. The training covers essential steps to safely rescue a casualty and provide immediate care.
Low Voltage Rescue — UETDRMP018
- LV panel rescue procedure: hazard checks, reading emergency signs, approach paths and isolation at the nearest safe point
- Rescue equipment & techniques: correct use of the low voltage rescue kit (insulated rescue crook, gloves, fire blanket)
- Rescue from a live low voltage scenario: controlled extraction from a live low voltage panel/live LV panel without adding risk
- Emergency response: scene control, calling emergency services, and efficient handover to professional medical help
- Training covers: quick risk checks so rescue personnel stay safe around electrical hazards and electrical apparatus
CPR & First Aid — HLTAID009 / HLTAID011
- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation: DRSABCD, airway/breathing checks, AED setup, adult CPR
- Practical skills: show two minutes of uninterrupted single-rescuer CPR on a floor-placed manikin
- Basic life support: action steps for an emergency situation and recovery for an unconscious casualty
- Covers simple reporting and post-incident care that aligns with site procedures and safety regulations
- Aligned to standards: content reflects the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines
