Course Description
The combined units PUAFER005 – Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation – and PUAFER006 – Lead an Emergency Control Organisation – provide comprehensive training for individuals designated as Wardens and Chief Wardens in workplaces. This course equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage and coordinate emergency responses, ensuring the safety of all personnel during critical situations. It is ideal for those working in environments such as offices, factories, schools, and public facilities.
Upon completion of the PUAFER005 and PUAFER006 units, participants will be equipped to act as effective Wardens or Chief Wardens, ensuring a structured and efficient response to emergencies. Entry Requirements
An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:
- An official form of photo identification (e.g., driver’s licence, passport, or student ID).
- Physical capability to complete the practical demonstrations for the course, including the functional ability to perceive and respond to emergency signals and warnings, safely perform the duties of a senior emergency control role, move within a facility, communicate clearly, monitor evacuation activities, and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Protective footwear/safety shoes and comfortable/practical clothing must be provided by the student and worn during the practical sessions and assessment.
Online learning: Students must have basic digital literacy skills to navigate online platforms, complete assessments, and access course materials. Before enrolment, students should assess their ability to engage in online learning. Support is available where required.
The online learning program can be found in the student portal. Students must have access to a computer, smart phone, tablet or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete the online studies and associated assessment tasks.
Assessment Requirements
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
